Mike, Joel & Pat - Killswitch Engage
Mike D'Antonio
Mike handles the thundering bottom end for Massachusetts Metalcore band Killswitch Engage. He is very enthusiastic about the road, and recent album As Daylight Dies (2006). Mike brings his melodic bass influence to the mix. He creates all of the album artwork and designs logos and stage art under his DarkicoN Designs company. You can hear the Big Block 750 on the recent album that is quickly approaching Gold status in record sales. He has since discovered the Big Block Titan and uses it on the road.
Joel Stroetzel
Versed in the finer aspects of music harmony and technical riffage, Joel always brings a smile to his seemingly effortless guitar duties in Killswitch Engage. He followed his fellow band mate, Adam to Berkelee College to study music prior to the formation of KSE. Joel is influenced by 80s Thrash and Speed Metal bands but brings the richer textures of chord extensions into the aural assault and guitar harmonies. Though Dual and Triple Rectifiers and Stilettos have been a staple of tone for previous KSE albums, the new Roadster has found a solid home on stage and in the studio since 2006. It is featured on the 2006 release; As Daylight Dies.
Patrick Lachman
Pat is a well versed guitarist and vocalist that found himself diving into guitar duties in 2006 and 2007 for Killswitch Engage’s European and US tours due to Guitarist/Producer Adam Dutkiewicz’s back problems. Pat has been a long time Mesa user and supporter through his work with Halford and Diesel Machine. He previously fronted Damageplan as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Patrick used Triple Rectifiers with these tours but still loves his Triaxis and Strategy 500 set up. He continues to write and record at his home studio for upcoming projects. Stay tuned as Pat is a musical force to keep an eye on for great things to come!
